Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced developer who can be part of our multimedia product development team. Work would involve designing and developing shrink-wrap applications for sale in major retail stores worldwide. Candidates should be comfortable working in fast-paced start-up environment and playing a variety of roles on a small team.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Develop new digital multimedia software applications
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing Miraizon software products
  • Providing technical support to customers as necessary

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing applications on the Mac platform
  • 3+ years of experience in developing applications on the Windows platform
  • 5+ years of experience in C, C++
  • Experience with Objective C and Cocoa on the Mac
  • Experience with MFC and Win32 on Windows
  • Good with low-level programming and code optimization
  • Good with algorithm development
  • Familiarity with Mac, Windows, UNIX systems programming
  • Familiarity with digital video (e.g. MPEG-1/-2/-4)
  • Familiarity with digital audio (e.g. AC-3, MPEG-1/-2, AAC)
  • Familiarity with international programming and unicode
  • Able to write clear concise user documentation
  • Able to interact with customers and answer technical questions
  • Able to quickly learn new tasks
  • Punctual, professional, and a self-starter

Customer Support / Administrative Assistant

Job Description:

We are looking for an energetic person who is willing to wear multiple hats. This position will be critical to the continued growth and success of Miraizon, since you will be the "face" of Miraizon, directly speaking with our customers. At Miraizon, we consider providing the best service to our customers a job of utmost importance.

As a customer support / administrative assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Answer phone calls from customers
  • Answer email inquiries from customers
  • Assist in sales including taking phone orders
  • Assist in product shipments (both physical and download products)
  • Assist in product production
  • Manage product inventory
  • Purchase and manage office supplies
  • Assist in production of marketing/sales materials

Requirements:

  • Must enjoy speaking and dealing with customers
  • Must be willing to learn new jobs and technologies
  • Must be able to write and speak good English
  • Must have a car with a proper driver's license and be able to drive
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize jobs
  • Must be a problem solver
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have experience with basic computer office software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as well as web browsers
  • Must be able to search information on the Internet
  • Experience with graphic design applications and web design a strong plus, but not required
  • Experience with digital video including recorders, camcorders, and editing tools a strong plus but not required
  • Experience with multimedia technologies such as iPod, iTunes, QuickTime, etc a strong plus but not required
  • Foreign language skills are a strong plus, but not required
