Cinematize 2 Pro System Requirements
Cinematize 2 Pro for Macintosh:
- A Macintosh with a G3 or later PowerPC processor, or an Intel Core or later processor
- Mac OS X 10.3 or higher (PowerPC), 10.4 or higher (Intel)
- QuickTime 6.4 or later, QuickTime 7.03 or later required for iPod movie file (M4V) output, QuickTime 7.1.5 or higher for Apple TV movie (M4V) output
- 7 MB minimum of free hard disk space
2GB or more of free space is recommended for extracted files
- 128 MB RAM minimum, 256 MB RAM or more recommended
- A DVD-ROM compatible drive

Note 1: G4 and G5 Processor Acceleration for PowerPC-based Macintosh computers
Cinematize 2 Pro has been optimized to take advantage of the AltiVec vector processing unit included in all G4, G5, and higher PowerPC processors. As a result, Cinematize 2 Pro will operate significantly faster on machines with these processors. However, Cinematize 2 Pro will also work just fine on older G3-based machines.
Note 2: SSE2 Acceleration for Intel-based computers (both Macintosh and Windows)
Cinematize 2 Pro has been optimized to take advantage of the SSE2 vector processing instructions included in newer Intel-compatible processors. As a result, Cinematize 2 Pro will operate significantly faster on machines with these processors. However, Cinematize 2 Pro will also work just fine on older machines that only support MMX instructions.
Note 3: QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component Not Required
Cinematize 2 Pro includes its own video decoder so there is no requirement to have the QuickTime MPEG-2 playback component installed. Be advised, however, that if you choose to save your clips in raw formats (e.g. Elementary Stream or MPEG-2 Program Stream) you may need the component to play back those clips in QuickTime or in other Apple applications.
Note 4: Use With Older Intel and ATI Rage Series Graphic Processors
Because of some inadequacies in the older Intel and ATI Rage series graphic processor chips (e.g. Rage 128, Rage Pro, etc.), the preview function in Cinematize 2 Pro may operate more slowly on systems using these chips. The extraction speed and quality of the extracted clips should be unaffected, however.
